I had been starting to worry.
I’d encountered Screens Of Doom (and despair and possible destruction).
Looked like one of my favouritest-ever blogs was at best down, at worst down and out. Shut down and forced to shut up for offending some powers-that-be or other? Or was my favourite spinster aunt herself not in a good way? There had been weather in her neck of the woods, and she’s had health issues (and blogged about them–bravely? is that too macho and unreflective?–certainly blogged about this well, with bravado, verve, panache, and the usual wit…)
But no: all is well in Twistyfasterland:
The Lifetime Channel, as has been noted by larger brains than mine, is the TV authority of record when it comes to documenting the People magazine experience of Vagina-Americans. Violence, betrayal, insanity, torment, and murder. The Entertainment Industrial Complex has a vested interest in the defeat of feminist revolt, since a victory would rob them of all their most lurid plot devices.
For more; and the who, what, when, where, why, how, etc. of things: see Whoops and “Law and Order: Mutilated Women Unit” ep cleverly appeals to multiple niche fetishes at once
