Welcome to the first post to bear a brand spanking new tag: “recycling other people’s old pants.” As contrasted with my own old pants; most of them have been old MUA reviews and board stuff. Sometimes board stuff gets me, well, bored. Compared to what other people are doing in the wider world. So herewith some more news in brief(s).
- “The Prettiest Boy in the World: Many people are blessed with beauty. Some even make a career of it. But very few can work both sides of the runway.” (New York Magazine: 2011-08-14).
- Earlier, in Jezebel: “Barnes & Noble Censors Cover Featuring Androgynous Male Model” (2011-05-16)
I happen to be of the opinion–plain simple purely aesthetic judgement, nothing more, nothing less–that Andrej here is beautiful. And that beauty is beauty.
Oh. Also this–not entirely agreed, it’s not as well-researched and -informed as I’m used to expecting from The Brains. A “yes but no but” from me. Still, thoughts worth expressing so I’m continuing their spread:
- “Is the Beauty Industry ‘Green-Washing’ Sustainability?” (Huffington Post, 2011-08-09)
- and/re “How Can You Tell If Beauty Companies Are “Green”?” (The Beauty Brains, 2011-08-14)
